Aaron Heath Hunt, age 35, of Lebanon, Virginia passed away Thursday (May 4, 2023) in a Galax, Virginia hospital. Born April 12, 1988 in Lebanon, Virginia, he was a son of Ricky Lee Hunt and Anna “Pearlie” Richardson Hunt. A lifelong resident of the area, he was of the Baptist faith. He was a devoted member of Lebanon Lifesaving Crew and always enjoyed being there to help others in their time of need. A devoted husband, father, and son, he enjoyed watching football, wrestling, and being outside, but most of all spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Clyde and Mary Alice Richardson, paternal grandparents, Arnold and Rosa Lee Hunt, and his mother-in-law, Shannon Sword.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife of eight years, Savannah Hunt; two children, Ayranna Hunt and Zayden Hunt; brother, Tyler Hunt and wife, Audrianna; step-mother, Lisa Hunt; nieces, Skylar Hunt and Kaleigh Justice; nephew, Jonathan Ratliff; aunts and uncle, Mae Dye, Teresa Hunt Barton, and Gregory Keith Hunt; father-in-law, Tommy Justice; brother-in-law, Zachary Justice; special friends, Ashley Crisp, and Mel and Ali Pearson; a host of cousins, friends, and co-workers also survive.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Clinch Valley Oncology, Dr. Tawadros, Julian, Dara, Sharon, and Penny, Lebanon Lifesaving Crew, and Nolan and Jenna Stevens.
Memorial services will be conducted at 6:00 PM Monday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Joel Horn officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 – 6 PM.
