Mrs. Betty Lou Reynolds, age 85, of Honaker, Virginia, went to be with the Lord Sunday (September 25, 2022) at Maple Grove Health and Rehab in Lebanon, Virginia. Born July 22, 1937 in Finney, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Lonnie and Gladie Harris Belcher. When she was in better health, she faithfully attended Tunnel Hill Freewill Baptist Church, where her and her husband, Howard enjoyed going for many years. A lifelong resident of the area, she enjoyed reading, listening to music, and visiting with family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Howard Reynolds, one son, James Dennis Hess, grandsons, James Donald Hess and Jody Wayne Hess, brother, William Joe Belcher, and former husband and father of her children, Arnold Wayne Hess.
Survivors include three sons, Donald Wayne Hess and wife, April of Cedar Bluff, Ricky Hess and wife, Stephanie of Honaker, and Bryan Hess and wife, Nedia of Sword Creek; one daughter, Karen Honaker and husband, Bradley of Honaker; step-children, Ken Reynolds of Sword Creek, Donald Reynolds of Lebanon, Darrell Reynolds and wife, Linda of Honaker, Kathy Whitt of Swords Creek, Debbie Reynolds and husband, David of Swords Creek, and Johnny Reynolds and wife, Cathy of Belfast; grandchildren, Calvin, Scott, Suzetta, Jimmy, Jackie, Coty, Jerry, Vicki, Justin, Whitney, Danny, Tommy, Dewayne, Amy, Renee, Rhonda, Edward, Michael, Randall, Jessica, Danielle, Mircle, Samantha, Ashley, Tiffany, Chris, and Lee; special friends, Jill Miller and Jackie Charles; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Larry Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in Ketron Memorial Gardens in Lebanon, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be David Reynolds, Michael Reynolds, Randall Reynolds, Jack Thompson, Coty Hess, and Calvin Hess.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 – 1 PM Tuesday at the Honaker Funeral Home.
