Viola T. Davis, age 84, of Stuart, VA went home to be with the Lord on Saturday (July 6, 2019) at the home of her granddaughter in Mayodan, North Carolina. Born June 26, 1935 in Buchanan County, VA, she was a daughter of the late Augustus and Mandy Farmer Tiller. She had spent most of her adult life in Elizabethton, Tennessee, prior to moving to Stuart, VA. She and her husband milked cows and ran a dairy barn for over twenty-five years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Lee Davis and three brothers, Charlie, Barney and Teddy.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Davis, Jr.; one son, Danny Davis; two granddaughters, Virginia T. Neal and Valorie C. Adams; five great-grandchildren, Glenn, Steven, Gracie, Amanda and Ashley; one great-great-grandson, Griffin; half-sister, Ann Tiller and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Tuesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Foley officiating. Interment will follow in the Frank Smith Cemetery on Big A Mountain, VA.
Family will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 10 AM until the funeral hour.
