Obituary for Brenda Sue Hill (Dye)

Mrs. Brenda Sue Dye Stevens Hill, age 63, of the Garden Creek section of Rowe, Virginia, passed away Friday (February 11, 2022) in a Roanoke, Virginia hospital. Born September 21, 1958 in Richlands, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Holland and Cora Street Dye. A lifelong resident of the area, she was of the Pentecostal faith. She had formerly been employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Heritage Hall and Maple Grove Nursing Home. She enjoyed racing, fishing, and the Cleveland Browns, but most of all spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, June Dye, Larry Dye, Dempsey Dye, and Michael Dye, two sisters, Darlene Francis and Betty Osborne, and a special nephew, Steven Hill.
Survivors include her husband, Tony Ricky Hill of the home; three children, Chris Stevens and wife, Angie of Drill, Ricky Hill and wife, Shirley of Richlands, and Jamie Hill of Pounding Mill; six grandchildren, Dakota Stevens, Ezra Stevens, Trey Hill, Ty Hill, Serenity Hill, and Gabriel Hill; five siblings, Linda Musick of Swords Creek, Bill Dye of Drill, Jack Dye and Verlin Dye both of Rowe, and Jerry Dye of Canton, Ohio; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Dennis White and Rev. Ralph Shortridge officiating. Interment will follow in the Street Cemetery at Rowe, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be David Street, Kody Smith, Hurley DeCost, Charlie DeCost, Brian Musick, Travis Musick, Kevin Dye, and Mac Hill.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Monday, where an evening song service will be conducted at 7:00 PM.
