Mrs. Brenda Joyce Smith, age 78, of the Finney section of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Friday (October 21, 2022) at the home of her daughter. Born November 10, 1943 in Chestnut Ridge, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Henry Leo and Lona Ray Honaker. A lifelong resident of the area, she was of the Christian faith. A hard-working and dedicated dairy farmer, she had owned and operated Clinchview Dairy for over fifty years. She enjoyed tending to the family farm and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, A.B. “Sonny” Smith, and one brother, Larry Allen Honaker.
Survivors include two children, Rejeana Smith and Andrew B. Smith, III both of Honaker; five grandchildren, Andrew Tyler Brown, Lee Everett Brown, Arabella Celestine Brown, Andrea Katherine Smith, and Khaleigh Drew Smith; one brother, Garland Honaker; special niece and nephew, Gary Honaker and Yvonne Frankovich.
