Mrs. Chloe Elizabeth Meade, age 64, of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Friday (February 12, 2021) at her home. Born April 30, 1956 in Richlands, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Ellen Louise Shepard Thomas. A lifelong resident of the area, she was of the Christian faith. She had been employed as a seamstress at Potomac Field Gear at Council and later as a cook at the Honaker Double Kwik. One of her greatest joys was contributing to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by granddaughter, Olivia Meade, sister, Crystal Thomas, Brother, Johnny Thomas, and nephews, Little Ricky Thomas, Jeff Harris, and Neil Thomas.
Survivors include her husband of forty-eight years, Willard Leon Meade of the home; six children, Leon Carl Fredrick Meade and Sheena of Oakwood, Tina Louise Flossie Smith and Eric of Honaker, Dustin Adam Willard Meade and Chasity of Flatrock, Holly Carey Beth Ratliff and Tim of Council, Derrick Justin Leon Meade of Flatrock, and Brennan Ethan Wayne Meade of the home; eleven grandchildren, Ryan Meade, Adam Meade, Juliana Meade, Mykenzie Ratliff, Kayleigh Smith, Lillian Ratliff, Darren Meade, Emma Meade, Benjamin Meade, Claire Meade, and Paisley Meade; Siblings, Narcie Harris and husband, Harold of Drill, Anna Gay Cox of Honaker, Virginia, Robert Thomas of Raven, Diane Mosquera and Jose of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Wanda Harris and Ivan of Swords Creek, Lucy Shepard and Larry of Honaker; special best friend for over thirty years, Theresa Patterson of Tazewell; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Home Nursing Company Hospice.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Jeff Tiller and Rev. Edward Tiller officiating. Interment will follow in the Clark Cemetery at Big A Mountain, Virginia.

Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Darren Meade will serve as honorary pallbearer.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6 PM Monday.
