Christina Lynn Justus, age 49, of the Green Acres section of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Friday (December 31, 2021) in a Bristol, Tennessee hospital. Born August 16, 1972 in Grundy, Virginia, she was a daughter of Elsie Stevens Justus of Richlands, Virginia and the late Imer Justus. She had spent her early life in the area, prior to moving to Kentucky where she resided for twenty-seven years before returning to southwest Virginia twelve years ago. She was a licensed CNA and worked as a caregiver for a mental health center, but her true passion was floral work. She was a talented decorator, wreath maker and florist and she also enjoyed cooking.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her special feline companion, Taz.
Survivors, in addition to her mother, include four sisters, Linda Gross and husband, Keith of Whitewood, Virginia, Robin Ball and husband, Billy of Raven, Virginia, Crystal Whited and companion, Dan Proffitt and Keisha Owens and husband, Stephen both of Richlands, Virginia; special friends, Shannon Hurt, Juanita Bartley and Brenda Smith; special cat, Willow Love and several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family would like to extend a special thank you nurse, Bennita Holmes and the staff of Divine Home Health.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Thursday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ray Justus and Rev. Jeff Kinder. Interment will follow in the Stevens-Cook Cemetery at Combs Ridge, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Billy Ball, Brent Ball, Jacob Helmandollar, Blaken Justus, Bryant Justus and Christopher Stevens.
Joshua Justus ad Mark Bales will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Due to the recent surge in COVID cases in our area, the family requests that everyone in attendance to wear a mask.
The family will receive friends at Honaker Funeral Home after 6 PM Wednesday.
