Obituary for Christine Velma Presley (Beavers)

Mrs. Christine Presley, age 70, of Cleveland, Virginia passed away Saturday (February 17, 2024) at her home. Born August 6, 1953 in Glade Spring, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Rev. James Henry and Minerva Steffey Beavers. She had spent most of her life in the Cleveland area, and had formerly been employed as a truck driver and a Certified Nursing Assistant. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed gardening, sewing, and shopping in thrift stores.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Deandre Christopher Williams; and four siblings, Arthur Wilson Beavers, James Henry Beavers, Sr., Virginia Breeding and husband, Jack, and Margaret Hanbey and husband, Leonard.
Survivors include three children, Willie Daniel Zetty, Jr. and wife, Amanda of Lebanon, Connie Lynn Zetty of Cleveland, and Sherrie Zetty Kiser and husband, Greg of Elizabethton, Tennessee; three siblings, Kathy Strouth and husband, David of Abingdon, Ruth Hanbey and husband, Larry of Lenor, North Carolina, and Tony Beavers and wife, Dawn of Kingsport, Tennessee; sisters-in-law, Pat Beavers and Nina Beavers; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Wednesday in Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Edward Tiller officiating. Interment will follow in Ketron Memorial Gardens at Lebanon, Virginia.
Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home from 12 – 1 PM Wednesday.
