Connie Joyce Dye Wells, age 58, of Ellijay, Georgia, formerly of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Sunday (August 16, 2020) at her home. Born December 11, 1961 in Richlands, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Herbie and Beulah VanDyke Dye. She was a graduate of Honaker High School class of 1981. She worked as a cashier at Green’s Country Store for several years and in her spare time, she enjoyed crochet and giving away the things she made.
Survivors include her husband of thirty-four years, Walter Wells of the home; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Regina and Sam Honaker and Becky and Chester Ball both of Honaker, Virginia; niece, Vanessa Ball Waldron of Honaker, Virginia and nephews, Michael Honaker of Belfast, Virginia. David Honaker, John Honaker and Chad Ball all of Honaker, Virginia; several additional nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Sunday (August 23, 2020) at the Bernhardt Funeral Home in Ellijay, Georgia with Rev. Lonnie Wright officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday at Bernhardt Funeral Home, 163 River Street, Ellijay, Georgia 30540 from 11 AM until the funeral hour. Burial will be at a later date.
