Cutie Arwood Keene, age 77, of Garden Creek Road section of Rowe, Virginia passed away Thursday (October 15, 2020) at her home surrounded by her family. Born January 26, 1943 in Buchanan County, Virginia, she was a daughter of Burk and Orpha Fletcher Arwood. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a homemaker and the most precious mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three infant sons, Rickey, Zachary, and Kevin Keene; her daughter-in-law, Debra Keene, and also her former husband and friend, Carl Keene.
Survivors include two daughters, Carla Lester and husband, Jackie and Lisa Hess and husband, Jimmy all of Rowe; three sons, Leslie Keene and wife, Theresa, Phillip Keene and wife, Pam all of Rowe, and Gregory Keene of Cedar Bluff; eight grandchildren, Jeremy Keen, LeAnn Lester, Johnathan Keen3, Nikki Keene, Tiffany Keene, Zachary Keene, Cydney Lester and Addie Burke; four great-grandchildren, Tylor Keen, MaKayla Keen, Kailyn Keene, and Joseph Keene; a host of family and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Anthony Hale and Rev. Mike Altizer officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Johnathon Keene, Zachary Keene, Jeremy Keene, Tylor Keen, Bryan Lester, Chris Hughes, Jamie Hale, and Timothy Hurley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Nikki Keene, Tiffany Keene, Cydney Lester, LeAnn Lester, Addie Burke, and Makayla Keen.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Sunday, where an evening song service will be conducted at 7:00 PM.
