Mrs. Darlene Breeding, age 76, of Davenport, Virginia, passed away Thursday (March 24, 2022) in Lebanon, Virginia. Born December 5, 1945 in Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Emma Gay Rasnake Thompson. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a 1964 graduate of Council High School and was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed cross-stitching and working with her flowers, but most of all spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Lonnie Thompson, and brothers-in-law, Dauyer Rose and Daniel Compton.
Survivors include her husband of fifty-four years, William Breeding; six sisters, Rosie Rose of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Linda Farmer and husband, Clell, and Lona Hodge all of Abingdon, Nancy Compton of Wise, Patty Winegar and husband, Sam of Kingsport, and Rita Tiller and husband, Randy of Council; two brothers, Larry Thompson and wife, Kay of Honaker, and Michael Thompson and wife, Tonya of Council; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Private funeral services will be conducted for her family.
