Darrell Wayne “Tom” Rose, age 55, of Jewell Ridge, Virginia passed away Thursday (October 8, 2020) at Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, Tennessee. Born May 21, 1965 in Norton, Virginia, he was a son of the late Morland J. and Patsy Farmer Rose. He was a loving dad and papaw and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Benjamin Rose; two sisters, Kathy Cantrell and Molly Rose and three brothers, Ricky Rose, Jack Rose and Bobby Rose.
Survivors include one son, Brandon Rose and wife, Melissa; granddaughter, Elise Rose; special friend, Mary Lawson; daughter, Kristina Lawson; two grandsons, Daycen Lawson and Trayvon Lawson; two brothers, Virgil Rose, Brian Rose; two sisters, Sheena Burnette and Jeannie Rogers and their families also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12 Noon on Monday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ira Bird officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Virgil Rose, Donnie Rose, Clayton Rose, Brandon Rose, Josh Short and Gene Williams.
Benjamin Rose will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
The family will receive friends at Honaker Funeral Home from 11 AM until Noon.
