Mrs. Deborah Joan Fry, age 68, of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Friday (February 18, 2022) at her home. Born February 10, 1954 in South Carolina, she was a daughter of Alma Honaker Martin of Honaker and the late Douglas Martin. A 1972 graduate of Key West High School, she had spent most of her life in Honaker, Virginia and Key West, Florida. She had retired from E. Dillon & Company as Human Resources Manager after working there for over twenty-five years. She was of the Christian faith and attended Word of Victory Fellowship Church. Always willing to lend a helping hand, she was a member of the Honaker Redbud Committee and had served in several additional local groups. She enjoyed baking, cake decorating, and sewing, but her greatest joy came spending time with her family.
In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband of forty-five years, Gregory Fry; two children, Todd Fry and wife, Rachelle, and Jennifer Miller and Jordan Compton; four grandchildren, Ethan Vandyke and wife, Amanda, Jenna May and husband, Jordon, Cameron Fry, and Trevor Miller; four great-grandchildren, Riley Hart, Reagan Vandyke, Jace May, and Joleigh May; five siblings, Sheri Pinder and Steve, Randy Martin and Sandy, Gary Martin and Vanessa, Dena Crabtree and Paul, and Linda McGlothlin and Keith; several nieces, nephews, and cousins, whom she loved dearly also survive.
Memorial services will be conducted at 7:00 PM Tuesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia, with Rev. Rod Wicker officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7PM Tuesday.
