Obituary

Mr. Donald Travis Rose, age 47, of the Grissom Creek section of Council, Virginia, passed away Friday (April 24, 2020) at his home. Born May 17, 1972 in Manassas, Virginia, he was a son of Edith Mae Carty Rose of Kingsport, Tennessee and the late Roger Donald Rose. He had spent most of his life in the Southwest Virginia area and had attended Swamp Church. He enjoyed fishing, but most of all spending time with his family.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Skyler Rose.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Teresa Harris Rose of the home; one sister, Brenda Rose and companion, Gary Anderson of Kingsport, Tennessee; step-son, Gary Johnson and wife, Keisha of Rosedale; step-daughter, Amy Johnson of Davenport; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don and Wilma Harris; two brothers-in-law, Danny Harris and wife, Joanna and Jeffery Harris also survive.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to, Kansas Grifffey, Highlands Ambulance, especially Cody and Missy, Dr. Ernest Henry, and the staff of Fresenius Dialysis Center.
In consideration of health and well-being of others and in respect of the guidelines of the CDC and the Commonwealth of Virginia services will be a private family gathering with Rev. Luther Bowman, Rev. Troy Harris, and Rev. Billy Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the Helton Cemetery at Stinson Ridge, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Cody Blackwell, Mark Austin, Chris Davidson, Matthew Street, Verlin Hale, Danny Harris, and Jeffery Harris.
