Donald Lee Sargent, age 53, of Honaker, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Monday (March 28, 2022) at Bristol Regional Medical Center. Born September 18, 1968 in Lebanon, Virginia, he was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Lebanon High School. He loved going to church, fishing, riding his scooter and watching football.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Ann Sargent Helbert, step-father, Larry Junior Helbert; grandparents, Clarence and Bessie Sargent and one nephew, Christopher Alexander Bowman.
Survivors include one brother, Ricky Sargent of the home; one sister, Jennifer Bowman and husband, Rufus of Birchleaf, Virginia; aunts and uncles, Lucille and Gene Reynolds, Brenda Johnson, special cousin, Larry Robinson and wife, Sandy; several cousins and many special friends also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Thursday with Rev. Larry Robinson and Rev. Jeff Kinder officiating. Interment will follow in the Sargent Cemetery at Little River.
Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Honaker Funeral Home after 1 PM Thursday.
