Obituary for Doris Lillian Casey (Burke)
Mrs. Doris Lillian Burke Casey, age 61, of Swords Creek, Virginia, passed away Monday (December 7, 2020) at her home. Born February 6, 1959 in Tazewell County, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Mary Jane Guinn Burke. She had spent most of her life in the area and attended Drill Chapel Church. She enjoyed sewing and painting, but most of all spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Edward Casey, two brothers, Danny Burke and Dwayne Burke, and one sister, Debra Casey.
Survivors include three children, Alisha Dales and husband, David of Swords Creek, Tina Vance and Jeremy Doud of Raven, and Clayton Dwayne Casey of Richlands; nine grandchildren, Jonathan Casey, Cody Woodard, Alecia Vance, Dustin Casey, Dalton Dales, Clayton Edward Casey, II, Colton Casey, Shylin Dales, and Caden Doud; four great-grandchildren, Brentley Perkins, Christopher Woodard, Ella Casey, and Maddox Casey; two siblings, Diana Wilson and Bennie Dean Burke; her mother-in-law, Elvie Casey; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Frankie Dean Casey, Terry Casey and wife, Kathy, and Danny Casey and wife, Gwen; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Chester Ball officiating. Interment will follow in the Casey Family Cemetery at Swords Creek, Virginia.
Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Wednesday.
