Mrs. Doris Tuggle Johnson Green, age 86 of the Belfast section of Cedar Bluff, Virginia passed away Wednesday (October 28, 2020). Born March 3, 1934 in Russell County, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late William Edward and Margaret Meade Tuggle. A lifelong resident of the area, she enjoyed reading and working puzzles, but most of all spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Junior Johnson, second husband, Hurshel Green, one daughter, Virginia Sue Perkins, one brother, Fred Tuggle, one granddaughter, Brandy Perkins, great-grandson, Wyatt Miller, and son-in-law, Brad Miller.
Survivors include two sons, Terry Johnson and wife, Geraldine and William Edward Green all of Cedar Bluff; two daughters, Wilma Jean Miller of Pounding Mill and Misty Blevins and husband, Travis of Sugar Grove; three grandchildren, Brian Miller and wife, Jennifer, Chad Miller and wife, Sarah, Jessica Perkins, Skylar Owens, and Megan Owens; great-grandchildren, Amanda Roberts and husband, Kermit, Sawyer Miller, Gracie Mae Miller, and Sophie Miller; great-great-granddaughter, Emily Morgan Roberts.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the employees and staff of Maple Grove Rehab and Care Center in Lebanon, Virginia for the loving care the provided.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Brian Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the Tuggle Cemetery at Long Branch.
Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home from 12 Noon until the funeral hour.
