To the Thompson family, my heartfelt condolences for your loss. Please find comfort in the knowledge that soon God will wipe out every tear from our eyes, and “death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”(Rev. 21:3,4) May this promise give you comfort now and a real hope for the future. My deepest sympathies.

I always looked forward to seeing Mr Thompson sitting on the porch. I will miss seeing him sitting out in the evenings when I would drive by, he always waved. Glad that I finally did get to meet him, if only the one time. He always made me smile.

Linda, As new friends, we'd only met your Daddy a few times. But it was obvious from the moment we met Earl that he was a kind, loving, generous and gentle man. What we should all strive to be......and what the Bible tells us to do. Do not let yourself be troubled, he is smiling down from Heaven with his arms wrapped around your Mother and Sister. Be at Peace.

One of the best families I have ever known. The young people at Bethany when I was in high school with Brenda, Linda, Danny,Carolyn, Norma, Red Fletcher, Larry and Gary... all my friends... a lot of us would go to their home every Sunday night.
Sing around that piano and Imogene would play. Earl loved it but I doubt he loved it as much as I did. They gave us food and fellowship and Earl would smile from ear to ear. All I can say is we all loved them.. most hospitable, loving people on the earth. I am happy they both had such long and happy lives and touched so many people with their lives. I felt better passing their house even if I didn't stop just seeing them on that porch smiling and waving.
