Obituary for Estell Dye (Hubbard)

Mrs. Estell Hubbard Dye, age 84, of the Maple Gap section of Swords Creek, Virginia, passed away Monday (May 24, 2021) in a Kingsport, Tennessee hospital. Born August 7, 1936 in Russell County, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Eddie and Viola Dye Hubbard. A lifelong resident of the area, she had been a member of Harmony Church for over twenty years. A devoted Christian, she enjoyed attending church, serving her Lord, and spending time with her family, whom she loved dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ora William “Bill” Dye, two daughters, Judy Dye and Kathy Ray, and three brothers, Raymond Breedlove, Jr., James Henry Robinette, and Marion Leonard Hubbard.
Survivors include one daughter, Joyce Price and husband, Billy; three sons, Gary Dye and wife, Sheryl, Terry Dye and wife, Lena, and Mike Dye and wife, Jill; son-in-law, Jamie Ray; twelve grandchildren, Karen Deskins, Bradley Dye, Chance Mortenson, Dillion Dye, Shiloh Dye, Chris Dye, Travis Price, Amanda Cole, T.J. Dye, Samantha Dye, Kristy Hart, and Brittany Harman; sixteen great-grandchildren, Fiona Deskins, Kaden Dye, Jacob Price, Tanner Hart, Emilia Hart, Olivia Price, Jordan Cole, Simon Cole, Audrey Dye, Carson Dye, Oakley Kiser, Brayden Perkins, Hoyt Hart, Parker Hart, Miley Harman, and Trindon Harman; three brothers, Glen Hubbard and wife, Dorothy, Ed Hubbard and wife, Mattie, and Dallas Hubbard and wife, Geraldine; four sisters, Gaynell Dye, Trudell Dye and husband, Rafty, Vernell Dye and husband, Jerry, and Brenda Dye and husband, Randall; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Jimmy Richardson and Bro. Terry Honaker officiating. Interment will follow in the Richardson Cemetery on Horton Ridge, Virginia.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be nephews and deacons of Harmony Church.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Friday, where an evening service will be conducted at 7:00 PM with Rev. Tim Whited and Rev. Cody Jackson officiating.
