Obituary for Estie Street (Hill)
Estie Hill Street, age 78, of Rowe, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday (January 7, 2020). Born June 17, 1942 in Richlands, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Columbus and Ruthie Byrd Hill. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a member of the Refuge of the Soul Holiness Ministries of Doran, Virginia. She was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed baking, shopping, coloring and working puzzles.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Street; sisters, Ida Simmons, Fay Hubbard and Emily Childress; brothers, Marv Hill, Hubert Hill, Buford Hill, Ray Hill and Hurley Hill and one great-grandson. In her generation, she was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Bobby Hale and Lisa and Chester Perricllia both of Rowe, Virginia; four sons, Rocky and Sherri Street of Honaker, Virginia, Roy and Becky Street of Hansonville, Virginia, Lloyd “Coop” and Lisa Street of Keen Mountain, Virginia and Troy “Peanut” Street of Rowe, Virginia; grandchildren, Shannon and Chris Scarberry, Josh Perricllia and fiancée, Michelle, James and Mellisa Perricllia, Angel and Shawn Vance, Brandie and Tony Hess, Bobby Keith and Sabrina Hale, Cody and Katie Hale, Brittney and Robert Charles, Breanna and Steven Stiltner, Travis and Courtney Street, Rocky Shawn “Bub” Street and Rodney “Toby” Street; step-grandchildren, Jordan and Emma Sluss, Jarrett Bostic, Jasamin Sluss, Megan and Charlie Payne and Abby Taylor; eighteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and two expected great-great-grandchildren also survive.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff of Legacy Hospice and great-granddaughter, Hannah Scarberry.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 PM Saturday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Harrison officiating. Interment will follow in the Rell and Callie Street Cemetery at Rowe, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Chris Scarberry, Matthew Scarberry, James Perricllia, Travis Street, Robert Charles and Steven Stiltner.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kory Scarberry, Hunter Vance, Hannah Scarberry, Walter Boyd and Jerry Meredith.
Due to COVID restrictions mandated by the governor, a mask is required. For those unable or uncomfortable attending, the funeral service will be livestreamed on our Facebook page as well as our webpage.
The family will receive friends after 6 PM Friday at Honaker Funeral Home, where an evening service will be conducted at 7 PM with Rev. Tony Hess officiating.
