Obituary for Ethel Fay Stilwell

Ethel Fay Stilwell, age 79, of the Little Fox Creek section of Vansant, Virginia, passed away Sunday (January 5, 2020) in Lebanon, Virginia. Born May 7, 1940 in Buchanan County, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Jessie James and Jennie Jackson Stilwell. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a graduate of Council High School. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, and the lost art of homemaking.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Lindsey Stilwell, Dexter Stilwell, and Harlis Stilwell, one sister, Emma Lockhart, two sisters-in-law, Louise Stilwell and Sally Stilwell, two brothers-in-law, Frank Hale and Cuba Bostic, and her fiancé, Delmer Boyd.
Survivors include five sisters, Goldie Hale of Swords Creek, Dorothy Bostic of Vansant, Mildred Breeding and husband, Larry of Vansant, Mona Woodward and husband, Paul of Honaker, and Miranda McGlothlin and husband, Ralph of Vansant; four brothers, Darrel Stilwell and wife Lucille of Mechanicsville, Wayne Stilwell of Brandy Station, Virginia, Henry Stilwell and wife, Regina of Swords Creek, and Harley Stilwell and Jennifer of Brandy Station, Virginia; sister-in-law, Betty Stilwell; brother-in-law, William Lockhart; caregivers, Sylvia, Kathy, Adriane, and Joann; many nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Roy Lee Wilson and Rev. Edward Tiller officiating. Interment will follow in the Stilwell Family Cemetery, 2568 Little Fox Creek Drive, Vansant, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Darrel Stilwell, Wayne Stilwell, Henry Stilwell, Harley Stilwell, Larry Breeding, Ralph McGlothlin, William Lockhart, and Paul Woodward.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Wednesday, where an evening song service will be conducted at 7:00 PM.
