Obituary for Frances Arbutus Woollard-Horn (Phillips)

Frances Arbutus Phillips Woollard Horn, age 81, of the Lynn Springs section of Swords Creek, passed away Thursday (June 10, 2021) at her home. Born January 5, 1940 in Buchanan County, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Linda Augusta Reed and had lived in Marlington, West Virginia for over fifty years prior to moving to Swords Creek. She was a member of Lebanon Church of Christ.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Jasper William Woollard; three sons, Bill Woolard, Columbus Otto Hale and Jay Woollard, Jr.; one grandson, Josh Friel; two sisters, Virginia Blankenship and Ruby Ivadell Hale; three brothers, McKinley Blankenship, Roy Blankenship and Harmon Blankenship.
Survivors include her husband, William Ray Horn of the home; two daughters, Melinda Jane Lilly and Danny of Oakwood and Leslie Stanford and husband, Rick of Bandy; two sons, Raymond Woollard and wife, Tonya of Lyndhurst, Virginia and Kelly Horn and wife, June of Richlands; two sisters, Tilda Harris and Marie Mills; twenty-one grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; special granddaughters, Crystal Friel, Leslie Stanford, Elizabeth Johnson, Kayla Johnson; special grandsons, Scott Woollard, Christopher Lee Woollard and Marvin Friel; special sister-in-law, Lilly Elswick; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ron Epling and Bro. Keith Hovis officiating. Interment will follow in the Blankenship Cemetery at Rosen Camp, Virginia.
Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends after 1:00 PM Monday at the Honaker Funeral Home.
