Obituary for Glen Roland Harris

Mr. Glen Roland Harris, age 64, of the Belfast section of Cedar Bluff, Virginia passed away Friday (May 26, 2023) in a Bristol, Tennessee hospital. Born December 23, 1958 in Richlands, Virginia, he was a son of the late James Roland and Elizabeth “Lizzie” Horton Harris. He had been employed as a coal miner at Jewell Smokeless Coal Company and Bear Ridge Mine until his retirement in 1999 and was a member of the UMWA. He enjoyed cruises, going to the beach, building sand castles, working on anything that needed to be fixed and playing with Brady and Ryan. A very special, selfless person, he always put everyone else’s needs before his own. He left a lasting impression on everyone he crossed paths with and will be missed by those who knew him.
