Obituary for Glenda Gale Lester
Glenda Gale Lester, age 63, of the Meadowview section of Abingdon, Virginia, passed away Saturday (April 29, 2023) in an Abingdon, Virginia hospital. Born November 28, 1959 in Richlands, Virginia, she was a daughter of Hazel Keen Presley and the late Bob Hale. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, William Holland and Leona Hale, and maternal grandparents, Oscar “Windy” and Laura Keen, and Elmer Keen.
In addition to her mother, survivors include one daughter, Tonya Lester; two grandchildren, Kainen Houser and Laken Taylor; three siblings, Jeff Hale, Mike Dotson, and Sherry Hale; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends also survive.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday in the Frank Smith Cemetery on Big A Mountain, Virginia with Rev. D.J. Barton officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to assemble at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Glenda Lester Memorial Fund, c/o Honaker Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1620, Honaker, Virginia 24260.
