Obituary for Greg Nuckles

Mr. Greg Nuckles, age 57, of the Poor Farm Road section of Lebanon, Virginia, passed away Friday (May 7, 2021) at his home. Born May 4, 1964 in Buchanan County, Virginia, he was a son of Wilma Jean Ray Nuckles of Lebanon, Virginia and the late Ervin Nuckles. A lifelong resident of the area, he was a 1982 graduate of Lebanon High School and had been employed as a brick mason.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Dewey and Oma Nuckles and his maternal grandparents, Willie and Cora Ray.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include one son, Dalton Gregory Nuckles of Lebanon, Virginia; one sister, Stacey Whited and husband, Doug of Swords Creek, Virginia; special niece, Taylor Dye of Nashville, Tennessee and several aunts, uncles, cousins and host of friends also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12 Noon Tuesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Troy Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the Nuckles-Hess Cemetery on Fletcher’s Ridge.
Due to COVID restrictions mandated by the governor, a mask is required. For those unable or uncomfortable attending, the funeral service will be livestreamed on our Facebook page as well as our webpage.
Pallbearers will be Doug Whited, Stan Hart, Tony Sprouse, Delmer Farmer, Bradley Nuckles and Tim Ray.
Honorary pallbearers will be J.D. Nuckles, Jerry Ray, Larry Buckles, Robbie Martin, David Ray, Shawn Addington, Johnny Farmer and Mike Ray.
The family will receive friends after 6 PM Monday at Honaker Funeral Home, where an evening song service will be conducted at 7 PM.
