Obituary for Harold Dallas Lockhart

Mr. Harold Dallas Lockhart, age 80, of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Tuesday (August 18, 2020) in an Abingdon, Virginia hospital. Born January 20, 1940 in Swords Creek, Virginia, he was a son of the late Floyd and Naomi Perkins Lockhart. A lifelong resident of the area, he attended the Honaker Church of God. He enjoyed fishing and tending to his vegetable garden, but most of all spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Allen Dee Lockhart and William Lee Lockhart, and five sisters, Nellie Miller, Thelma Miller, Freda Cordle, Gladys Hubbard, and Arbutus Plaster.
Survivors include his wife of forty-six years, Lois Perkins Lockhart of the home; two children, Melissa Asbury and husband, Todd of Bristol, Virginia and Kevin Dallas Lockhart of Glade Springs, Virginia; six grandchildren, Blake Asbury, Christian Asbury, Noah Asbury, Sadie Asbury, Cortlyn Lockhart, and Kylie Lockhart; three siblings, Evelyn Perkins of Richlands, Mae Richardson of Honaker, and Carter Lockhart of Swords Creek; his sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Loretta Barbee and Paul Myers both of Columbus, Ohio, and Dale Perkins of Sandusky, Ohio; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Larry Brooks, Rev. Yul Miller, and Rev. Paul Day officiating. Interment will follow in Ketron Memorial Gardens at Lebanon, Virginia with Bro. Todd Asbury officiating.
