Obituary for Harvey Loman Presley

Mr. Harvey Loman Presley, age 82, of Rosedale, Virginia, passed away at his home. Born September 1, 1937 in Buchanan County, Virginia, he was a son of the late Harvey Elden and Daisy Mae Breeding Presley. A lifelong resident of the southwest Virginia area, he was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a disabled coal miner, having formerly been employed by Consol Coal and was a member of the UMWA. He was a member of Bee Pentecostal Church. He enjoyed woodworking and working outside, but most of all spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, an infant sister, Imogene Williams, Charlene Price, and Mildred Davis, and two brothers, Curtis Presley and Gerald Presley.
Survivors include his wife of forty-three years, Adeline Ball Presley of the home; three sons, Harvey Elden Presley and wife, Amy of North Carolina, Roger Dale Presley and Jerome Arron Presley both of Lebanon; six grandchildren, Samantha Nicole Presley, Jeremy Aaron Presley and girlfriend, Abby Jones, Jared Alex Presley, Crystal Presley, Ashton Presley, and Aiden Presley; two brothers, Murill Presley and wife, Shelby Jean and Phillip Presley and wife, Charlotte; several special friends, nieces, and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Gary Sullivan and Rev. Jim Price officiating. Interment will follow in Ketron Memorial Gardens at Lebanon, Virginia.
Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 9864 of Lebanon, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Guy Tiller, Don Wampler, Mickey Hale, Ezra Harris, Donnie Austin, Samantha Presley, Jared Presley, Jeremy Presley, Jerome Presley, Harvey Presley, and Roger Presley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Men of Bee Pentecostal Church.
The family will receive friends after 6:00 PM Friday at the Honaker Funeral Home where an evening service will be conducted at 7 PM.
