Mr. Jackie Alvin Casey, age 75, of Swords Creek, Virginia, passed away Thursday (January 14, 2022) in a Lebanon, Virginia hospital. Born November 13, 1946 in Swords Creek, Virginia, he was a son of the late Floyd Andrew and Gracie Newberry Casey. He had lived most of his life in the area and was a member of Finney Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and traveling, but most of all spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six siblings, Arbidene Casey, Elmer Casey, Delmer Casey, Herman Casey, Henry Casey, and Melvin Casey, and half-sister, Dorcie Osborne.
Survivors include three children, Jackie E. Casey and wife, Sherri, Jeannie L. Damron and husband, Daniel, and Richard M.A. Casey and wife, Larrina; two siblings, Theryl E. Casey and wife, Carrie, and Gary D. Casey and companion, Joann Plaster; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Stephen Musick officiating. Interment will follow in the Casey Family Cemetery at Swords Creek, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be James Andrew Casey, Michael Casey, Shane Blagg, Nathaniel Damron, Gary Deskins, Wes Barrett, and David Osborne.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home from 1 – 2PM Wednesday.
