Obituary for Jackie Lee Dillon Sr.

Mr. Jackie Lee Dillon, Sr., age 63, of the Cedar Cliff Road section of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Tuesday (March 10, 2020) at his home. Born June 2, 1956 in Welch, West Virginia, he was a son of the late William E. and Lessie Thompson Dillon. He had moved from West Virginia to the Honaker area in 1993 and was a member of Still Waters Ministries in Swords Creek, Virginia. A veteran of the United States Army, he was a disabled coal miner and enjoyed woodworking, sharing his beloved birdhouses with family, friends, and neighbors.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Herman Stout.
Survivors include his wife of forty-three years, Norma Cassady Dillon of the home; two children, Jackie L. Dillon, Jr. of the home and Billie Dillon Street and husband, Tony of Abingdon; three grandchildren, Cassie Street Carter and husband, Aaron, Kristen Dillon and Jacob Dillon; four sisters, Mildred Stout Walker and husband, Sherman, Ida Mae Roberts and husband, Darrell, Judy Matney, and Charlotte Lester and husband, Junior all of McDowell County, West Virginia; five brothers, Michael Dillon and wife, Kathy of Princeton, Jess Stout of Georgia, Ivan Dillon of Roanoke, Everette Dillon and John Dillon both of McDowell County; his fur baby, Zoe; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia, with Pastor Larry Brooks and Pastor Randy Dority officiating. Interment will follow in Ketron Memorial Gardens at Lebanon, Virginia.
Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 9864 of Lebanon, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Jackie Dillon, Jr., Jeremiah Rose, Aaron Carter, Tony Street, Timmy Altizer, and Michael Dillon.
Honorary pallbearers will be Darrell Hale, David Barrett, Jerry Skeens, and Carlos Rife.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Thursday.
