Jackie Wayne Honaker, age 48, of the Wysor Valley section of Swords Creek, Virginia passed away Tuesday (January 25, 2022) in Richlands, Virginia hospital. Born June 5, 1973 in Richlands, Virginia he was a son of Del Ray Perkins of Honaker, Virginia and the late Clyde M. Honaker. A lifelong resident of the area, he was a 1992 graduate of Honaker High School. He had been formerly been employed as a deputy for Russell County Sheriff’s Department. He had a love for trucks and was currently employed as a truck driver for Dillon. Jackie never met a stranger and was a friend to all who knew him.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Roger Perkins.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include one daughter, Morgan Faith Honaker of Honaker, Virginia; sister at heart, Sherry McGlothlin of Honaker, Virginia; special friend, Cindy Peck of Honaker, Virginia; aunt, Mary Griffith, uncle, Gene Ray; several cousins, co-workers and a host of friends also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 PM Saturday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clifford Breeding officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at noon on Sunday (January 30,2022) at the Perkins Cemetery in Wysor Valley. Those wishing to attend are ask to assemble at the funeral home at 11:30 am to go in procession.
Co-Workers from Dillon will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 PM-7 PM Saturday.
