Obituary for Jacqueline "Jackie" Lee Lester (Musick)

Mrs. Jacqueline “Jackie” Lee Lester, age 72, of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Friday (March 17, 2023) in a Johnson City, Tennessee hospital. Born February 17, 1951 in Richlands, Virginia, she was a daughter of Anna Louise Honaker Musick of Honaker and the late Mid Joseph Musick. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a 1969 graduate of Honaker High School. She was a member of Innovative Worship Center in Richlands, Virginia and loved attending church. She enjoyed gardening, especially her flowers, but most of all spending time with her family, whom she loved dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one infant brother, Mid Joseph Musick, Jr.; her paternal grandparents, Alden and Belle Musick; and maternal grandparents, Henry Honaker and Mary Frances.
In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband of thirty-three years, Steve Lester; children, Jeff Miller and wife, Lisa, Tonya Maxfield and husband, Gary, and John Lester and wife, Ashley; step-son, Tim Lester; four grandchildren, Jessee Miller, Jade Stanley, Addie Lester, and Mason Lester; sisters, Fayelene Woodward and husband, Johnny and Mary Hess and husband, Lynn; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends also survive.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Lee and the 5th Floor Nursing Staff at Johnson City Medical Center.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 7:00 PM Sunday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Pastors Jamie and Tracy Horn, and Pastor Gerald Lester officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday at Ketron Memorial Gardens in Lebanon, Virginia. Those wishing to attend are asked to assemble at the funeral home by 10:30 AM to go in procession.
Pallbearers will be Doug Hartsock, Jim Taylor, Mason Phillips, Donald Cross, Gary Maxfield, Ralph O’Quinn, and Ray Lester.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Maxfield, Sr. and Jay Howard.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5 – 7 PM at the Honaker Funeral Home.
