Mr. Jeffery Lee Bunch, age 61, of Honaker, Virginia passed away Monday (August 8, 2022) at his home. Born November 15, 1960 in Sneedville, Tennessee, he was a son of the late Otis and Ina Mae Holt Bunch. He had lived in the Honaker area for twenty-two years and was of the Christian faith. He had formerly been employed in the Maintenance Department at OBR Cooling Towers in Toledo, Ohio for nine years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and grilling, but most of all spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Otis Bunch, Jr., four sisters, Joyce Leabo, Tammy Cody, Shirley Carpenter, and Glenda Bunch, his mother-in-law, Sarah Rasnake, and brother-in-law, Danny Honaker.
Survivors include his wife of twenty-two years, Connie Bunch; five children, Matthew Bunch, Gary Duty, Sarah Colley, Zaylin Purcell, and Dallas Duty; grandchildren, Jeffery Duty, Dwayne “Joe” Duty, Giada Marie Bunch, and Annalisa Bunch; three brothers, Ronnie Bunch, Wayne Bunch, and Tony Bunch; one sister, Joann Johnson; father-in-law, George Ben and Nola Honaker; special nieces, Melinda Baldwin and Candace Cody; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12 Noon Friday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Terry Bunch and Rev. Nathan Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Lester-Honaker Cemetery near the home.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Bunch, Tim Baldwin, Michael Reynolds, Garrett Goff, Ray Lynch, Gary McCrae, Cliff Franklin, and Gary Duty.
Honorary pallbearers will be Peter Poll and Dr. Ernest Henry.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Thursday.
