Obituary for Jeffery Carlos Hale

Mr. Jeffery “Jeff” Carlos Hale, age 56, of Zack’s Fork Road section of Lenoir, North Carolina formerly of Page, Virginia, passed away Saturday (March 19, 2022). Born July 30, 1965 in Richlands, Virginia, he was a son of the late Carlos and Lorene (Becky) Dye Hale. He was employed by Cargo Transporters of Claremont, North Carolina as a diesel technician for twenty-five years and had recently retired due to an injury. He was a member of Old Path Holiness Church in Wilkesboro, North Carolina. Jeff loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing, but most of all spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Herman and Gertrude Street Hale, maternal grandparents, John Fred and Bertha Keen Dye, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ballard and Ivanell Colley Dalton.
Survivors left to mourn the loss include his loving wife of almost thirty years, Jacqueline “Jackie” Dalton Hale of the home; his children, Rimley Fitzwater and wife, Suzanne of Macungie, Pennsylvania, and Leah Fitzwater of Lenoir, North Carolina; grandchildren, LaChelle Bivens and Elijah Johnson of Lenoir, NC and Isaac and Easton Fitzwater of Macungie, PA; one sister, Pamela Keene and husband, Philip of Rowe, VA; one brother, Jamie Hale and wife, Freda of Haysi, VA; three nieces, Nikki Keene, Tiffany Hughes and husband, Chris, and Ashley Shortt and husband, Jerry; one great-niece, Aubrey Shortt all of Virginia; a host of friends and extended family who will miss him greatly also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Chris Sullivan and Rev. Tim Dillow officiating. Interment will follow in the Colley Cemetery at Murphy, Virginia.
Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Tuesday.
