Obituary for John Hubert Johnson
Mr. John Hubert Johnson, age 68, of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Thursday (June 18, 2020) at his home. Born August 14, 1951 in Richlands, Virginia, he was a son of the late Hubert and Margaret Rimmer Johnson. A lifelong resident of the area, he was a member of The Revival Center at Swords Creek, Virginia. He had formerly been employed as a coal miner and was a member of the UMWA.
Survivors include four children, John Johnson of Honaker, Tina Johnson and her husband, James Climer of Columbus, Ohio, Jennifer Hess of Bristol, Tennessee, and Scott Clark of Lebanon, Virginia; Three brothers, Joe Johnson of Blue Ridge, Virginia, Mike Johnson of Shortt’s Gap, and Mark Johnson of Doran; two special friends, Hazel Whited and Kathleen Osborne; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends also survive.
Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Wayne Perkins officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 PM until the funeral hour.
