Mrs. Judy Meadows, age 73, of Oakwood, Virginia, passed away Saturday (April 11, 2020) in a Richlands, Virginia hospital. Born March 13, 1947 in Buchanan County, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late William Frances and Sarah Ann Meadows. A lifelong resident of the area, she enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Meadows, three brothers, Herman Meadows, Harry Meadows, and James Meadows, and brother-in-law, Delbert Charles.
Survivors include five children, Elsie V. Meadows, Jemima C. Hagan and companion, Ryan Hart, William L. Meadows and companion, Priscilla McClanahan, Mary A. Meadows, and Terry F. Meadows and companion, Mary Gacek; one sister, Betty Charles; four brothers, Eddie Meadows, Farley Meadows, Hank Meadows, and Jerry Meadows; seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
In consideration of health and well-being of others, services will be a private family gathering with Rev. Grady McGlothlin officiating. Interment will follow in the Webb Cemetery at Oakwood, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Trevor Bledsoe, Terrance Meadows, Matthew Hatmaker, Ryan Hart, Larry Coleman, Brandon Meadows, and Shannon Mullins.
