Obituary for Judy Mae Robinette (Hughes)

Mrs. Judy Mae Hughes Robinette, age 63, of the Pine Creek section of Swords Creek, Virginia passed away Sunday (September 4, 2022) at her home. Born October 25, 1958 in Richlands, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Bobby and Bell Bennett Hughes. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a graduate of Honaker High School and a member of Pine Creek Pentecostal Church. A devoted and loving mother, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Wayne Robinette, two sisters, Kathy Hughes and infant, Vicky Hughes, and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Marie Robinette.
Survivors include one son, “the love of her life”, David Robinette and his girlfriend, Amanda Wall; step-son, Brian Robinette and wife, Melissa of Claypool Hill; three sisters, Linda Messer, Jean Baldwin and husband, Daniel, and Donna Adkins and husband and very special brother-in-law, Chris; brother, Robert Hughes; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Lonnie and Diane Lester; special great-nephew, Nathan Dye; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12 Noon Thursday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Jim Richardson and Rev. Luther Bowman officiating. Interment will follow in the Richardson Cemetery on Horton Ridge.
Pallbearers will be Joey Perkins, Tim Baldwin, Darren Taylor, Nathan Dye, and Jarred Hughes.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Wednesday.
