Ms. Jutie M. Johnson Honaker, age 71 of Goose Creek, SC formerly of Roanoke, VA passed away January 15, 2022 at Trident Medical Center in Charleston, SC. She was born in Buchanan County, Virginia on March 17, 1950 to the late Caney and Dovie White Johnson. She was a member of the Low Country Church of Christ in Goose Creek, SC. Judy loved the Lord and found great joy in sharing the gospel with others. She was a strong woman of faith, and the rock of her family. She would consider her greatest accomplishment rearing her children to love one another and God. Judy was a loving mother, grandmother, confidant, friend, sister, and aunt. She had a true servant’s heart and will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, A.G. Honaker, and one son, Jarod Honaker, one sister, Shirley Baldwin, and four brothers, Larry Johnson, Gary Johnson, Donald Johnson, and Carlos Johnson.
She is survived by four sons, Scott Honaker and Steven Honaker with whom she resided in Goose Creek, SC, Philip and wife Shannon Honaker of Salem, VA, Michael and Jessica Honaker of Roanoke, VA; four grandchildren Cody, Tyler, Kayley, and Kristen Honaker; two sisters Phyllis Shepard of Lebanon, VA, and Caroline and husband David Garrett of Newton, NC; three brothers Lee Roy Johnson of Manassas, VA, Frank and wife Betty Johnson of Hudson, NC, Jerry Johnson of Taylorsville, NC.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Honaker Funeral Home Chapel in Honaker, VA with Elder Ron Epling officiating. Burial will be at Green Hills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, VA.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 12 – 1 PM Saturday at the Honaker Funeral Home.
