Kala was a sweet beautiful person. She was such a wonderful friend and co-worker. The world has lost a true angel-heaven has gained another one. She will truly be missed. Seneding my thoughts and prayers to her family.

It is so hard to express the sense of loss and heartbreak for the loss of Kala in life. I am so sorry to all Kala’s family for your pain and the grief you are going through. Kala was warm, compassionate, and kind. Her exuberance, energy and enormous personality was a beautiful gift to all of us. I loved Kala as one of my own. Kala used to make me laugh. She was a little spitfire who never held back in her candid and straightforward ways. Kala is at peace now and there are many prayers for the comfort and serenity of her family and loved ones.

For 12+ years I had the privilege of being in Kalas orbit. She was the spider monkey to my munchkin and aunt Kala to my kiddos. She had the best laugh. She loved to tell a story and was a gifted storyteller. She taught me no outfit is complete without a statement piece of jewelry and to never show up anywhere empty handed. She made sure that the people she loved knew it, and knew it often. She fiercely went to bat for those people and became their biggest champions. She was there for me at my lowest and celebrated with me at my highest. She was there for the births of my 3 children, my wedding to my husband, and countless other milestones. She always made sure that I knew how important I was to her. There will never be another Kala. My heart is shattered, but I’ll take the shattered heart, for the 12+ years spent with my friend.

To her mama and step dad, her dad, her granny, her brother, her nieces who she loved and never stopped gushing about, her family, and dear friends who were family, I am so sorry. The world is a little less bright without our girl. I will love her forever.
