Obituary for Kathy Ray (Dye)
Kathy Ray, age 53, of Lebanon, Virginia went to be with the Lord on Monday morning (October 19, 2020) in a Lebanon, Virginia hospital. Born October 10, 1967 in Richlands, Virginia she was a daughter of Estell Hubbard Dye and the late Ora William “Bill” Dye. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a member of Harmony Community Church. She loved her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren, and enjoyed going to church.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one sister, Judy Dye; paternal grandparents, Pat and Dora Dye and maternal grandparents, Eddie and Viola Hubbard.
Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her loving husband, Jamie Ray of the home; two daughters, Kristy Hart and husband, Lannie of Cleveland, Virginia and Brittany Harman and husband, Roy of Berwind, West Virginia; four grandchildren, Miley “Princess” Harman, Brayden “Little Handsome” Perkins, Trindon Bryce Harman and Hoyt Cam Hart; three brothers, Gary Dye and wife, Sheryl, Terry Dye and wife, Lena and Mike Dye and wife, Jill; one sister, Joyce Price and husband, Billy; special friend, Rosie Helton and several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Missy and Cody Blackwell, the staff of Highlands Ambulance Service and Dr. Henry and the staff of Russell County Dialysis Center.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Thursday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Dye and Rev. Gary Dye officiating. Interment will follow in the Richardson Cemetery at Horton Ridge, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Chris Dye, T.J. Dye, Travis Price, Kaden Dye, Bradley Dye, Dillion Dye Chance Mortenson,
Honorary pallbearers will be Rafty Dye, Jr., Tim Dye, Randall Dye and Dallas Hubbard, Jr.
The family will receive friends after 6 PM Wednesday at Honaker Funeral Home, where an evening service will be conducted at 7 PM with Rev. Tim Whited officiating.
