Obituary for Larry Wayne Miller
Mr. Larry Wayne Miller, age 72, of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Friday (December 25, 2020) at his home. Born June 11, 1948 in Richlands, Virginia, he was a son of the late Carl and Dorothy Miller. A lifelong resident of the area, he was a disabled coal miner. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, farming, and shooting matches, but nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Justin Miller, two baby Lesters and one baby Stump, that never opened their eyes on earth.
Survivors include his wife of twenty-nine years, Linda Miller of the home; two sons, Darrin Miller and wife, Angie of Raven and Brian Stump and wife, Felita of Honaker; one daughter, Ashley Lester and husband, John of Honaker; three grandchildren, Corey Miller and wife, Savannah, Adora Hess, and Addilynne “AddieLee” Lester; two sisters, Carolyn “Lynn” Reedy and husband, Bo of Abingdon, and Jill Miller of Honaker also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Wednesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Ellis Whited and Rev. David Perkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Stump Cemetery at Honaker, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Xavier Chaffin, Joshua Harris, James Stump, Tate Stump, Colton Proffitt, Kenny Yates, Dakota Yates, and Tommy Reynolds.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dallas Whited, Doug Hartsock, and Deion Watts.
The family will receive friends after 6:00 PM Tuesday, where an evening song service will be conducted at 7:00 PM.
Due to COVID restrictions mandated by the governor, a mask is required. For those unable or uncomfortable attending, the service will be livestreamed on our Facebook page as well as our webpage.
