Obituary for Leslie Keith Horne

Mr. Leslie Keith Horne, age 66, of Belfast, Virginia, passed away Sunday (November 22, 2020) at the Hospice House in Bristol, Tennessee. Born October 2, 1954 in Richlands, Virginia, he was a son of the late Alfred Nelson Horne and Mollie Belle Altizer Horne Meadows. A lifelong resident of the area, he was a graduate of Garden High School. He was a member of Harbor Light Holiness Church and loved attending church. He was a disabled coal miner and an outdoorsman. He was a loving husband and father and enjoyed spending time with family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Alfred Nelson Horne, Jr., and Elden Todd Meadows.
Survivors include his wife of forty-four years, Linda Alene Ramsey Horne of the home; one son, whom he loved dearly, Joshua Keith Horne of Victoria, Virginia; his step-father, Tivis Meadows and step-mother, Mattie Meadows both of Fletchers Ridge; six sisters, Dianna Vandyke and husband, Rickey of Bristol, Tennessee, Mary Elder and husband, Terry of Chilhowie, Tammy Wampler and husband, Adam of Haysi, Carrie Mitchell and husband, Donald of Raven, Sharon Stilwell and husband, Danny of Paintlick, and Kim Adkins and husband, Nick of Lexington, North Carolina; five brothers, Roy Horne and wife, Nancy of Piney Flats, Tennessee, Joe Horne and wife, Debbie of Raven, Alan Meadows and wife, Linda and Doug Meadows and wife, Mary all of Paintlick, and Rocky Meadows and wife, Tammie of Rosedale; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 PM Tuesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Bro. Alan Meadows and Bro. Allen Childress officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Virginia. Those wishing to attend are asked to assemble at the cemetery.
Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Tuesday.
Due to COVID restrictions mandated by the governor, a mask is required.
