Obituary for Lisa LeAnne Hale (Pruitt)

Mrs. Lisa LeAnne Hale, age 58, of the Slate Creek section of Grundy, Virginia, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Friday (July 10, 2020) in a Richlands, Virginia hospital. Born November 25, 1961 in Flint, Michigan, she was the daughter of Reba Pruitt and Marvin Bailey, and the late Elmer Pruitt. A 1979 graduate of Garden High School, she had lived most of her life in the Buchanan county area. She was loved dearly by her children, grandchildren, family and friends. She was known to always make everyone feel welcome and was a shining light to all that knew her.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, Matthew Pruitt, and one sister, Annette “Suzy” Webb.
In addition to her mother, survivors include the love of her life, her husband of forty-one years, Stoney Markel Hale of the home; two children, Stoney Markel Hale, II and Amanda of Kingsport , and Melissa LeAnne Bailey and husband, Shane of Kingsport; grandchildren, Talen Bailey, Parker Bailey, Stoney Hale III, Anniston Hale, and Kashton Bailey; three siblings, Krissi Griffey and Shayne Kiser of Rosedale, Jennifer and Gary Nunley of Tazewell, and Randy and Victoria Pruitt of Blountville; mother-in-law, Goldie Hale of Swords Creek; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jennifer and William Looney of Vansant, Steven and Deanna Hale of Swords Creek, and Kathy and Rodney Hayes of Statesville, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Monday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Grady McGlothlin officiating. Interment will follow in Ketron Memorial Gardens at Lebanon, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Stoney Hale, II, Shane Bailey, Christian Hall, Logan Hall, Randy Pruitt, Jeremy Elswick, Jessee Elswick, Cory Elswick, Scott Hale, and Talen Bailey.
Honorary pallbearers will be William Looney, Shayne Kiser, Steven Hale, and Jared Bailey.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Monday, July 13, 2020 in the Honaker Funeral Home.
