Mr. Lonnie Craig Tiller, age 47 formerly of Rosedale, Virginia, passed away Friday (July 8, 2022) in the Philippines. Born May 27, 1975 in Richlands, Virginia, he was a son of Lonnie and Kathy Tiller of Rosedale. He was of the Pentecostal faith. A 1993 graduate of Honaker High School, he went on to further his education at King University, earning a Bachelors Degree in Computer Programming/Networking and a Masters Degree in Business Administration. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served ten years. He was formerly employed as a Computer Analyst at Northrop Grumman. A loving son, husband, father, and brother, he enjoyed riding motorcycles, but most of all spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Russell and Bertha Miller, paternal grandparents, Evans and Bessie Tiller, and one special cousin, John Russell “Punkin” Short.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife, Elizabeth J. Tiller; one son, Blake Evan Tiller; one daughter, Kaylei Izabel Tiller; sister, Brandy Tiller Wilson and husband, Keith; one nephew, Peyton Chance Wilson; two nieces, Kaitlyn Brooke Wilson and Alyssa Grace Wilson; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. James Tiller and Rev. Steve Perkins officiating. Interment will follow in Ketron Memorial Garden at Lebanon, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Travis Sykes, Richard Gellner, Jeff Plaster, Michael Jackson, Mike Ward, and Fred Richardson.
Military honors will be conducted by Casey Shortt VFW Post 9640 of Richlands, Virginia.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Tuesday.
