Madison Leanna Harris, our dearest baby girl and our greatest blessing, passed away peacefully in the arms of her mother into the arms of Jesus on Friday July 31, 2020. Heaven’s gain was our loss, when our angel was called by our Lord. Born on April 24, 2020, she was the beautiful daughter of Christina “Christy” Katherine Harris of Honaker. Madison gave us a lifetime of love during her short time here on Earth and even though she gained her angel wings way to soon, she will always live on through us. We will never forget how she enjoyed music, listening to t he music box play. She was full of sass and loved nothing more than being held in her mother’s arms or having her head rubbed. She loved to be bathed, have a face to face lovings and talks, and absolutely hated diaper changes. She was so dramatic about her sneezes that is was so precious and amazing. She was greeted in Heaven by her great-great-grandmother, Viola Guynn.
In addition to her mother, survivors include her baby sister, Brieanna Harris; maternal great-grandparents, Earl and Phyllis Harris Casey of the home; grandfather, Larry Harris; grandmother, Revanna Hess; her loving aunt, Angela Harris; uncle, Travis Harris; godmother, Sharon Horton; special aunts and family friends, Carrie Yates, Alisha Yates, Amy Rhodes, Kelsie Frank, and Kendra McLaughlin also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Jason Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in the Harris Cemetery on the Grissom Creek section of Council, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Thurman Yates and Dylan Yates.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Thursday, where an evening service will be conducted at 7:00 PM with Rev. Seth Shortridge officiating.
