Mary Jane Reynolds, age 94, of Cedar Bluff, Virginia, passed away Friday (March 26, 2021) at Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, Tennessee following a brief illness. Born September 17, 1926 in Russell County, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Will Beverly and Eva Ball Reynolds. A lifelong resident of the area she was a devoted Christian and a member of Chapel of Love Church. She always had a servant’s heart, putting the needs of others before herself. She enjoyed being with her family and although she never had children of her own, she was a mother, grandmother and aunt to many who loved her dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Clinton Reynolds, Reece Reynolds and Beve Reynolds; two sisters, Edna Brewer and Effie Gross.
Survivors include one sister, Bonnie Sargent of Raven, Virginia and several very special nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 PM Monday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Roger Lester and Jo Russ Wright officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 1 PM Tuesday at the Reynolds Cemetery on Kent’s Ridge. Those wishing to attend are asked to assemble at the funeral home by 12:30 pm to travel in the funeral procession.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Reynolds, Earl Reynolds, Henry Reynolds, Brandon Taylor, Robbie Honaker, Bill Sargent, Bobby Sargent and Jimmy Hagy.
The family will receive friends at Honaker Funeral Home from 5 pm to 7 PM on Monday.
Due to COVID restrictions mandated by the governor, a mask is required.
