Mrs. Mary Sue Keene Fogleman, age 86, of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Wednesday (December 11, 2019) in Lebanon, Virginia. Born November 2, 1933 in Putnam, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Dock and Ethel Smith Keene and a graduate of Honaker High School. She had spent most of her life in the area and was a member of Valley View Freewill Baptist Church. She was a hard-working lady, who enjoyed working in her garden, but most of all spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Cotton” Fogleman, three brothers, Harold Keene, Lawrence Keene, and Bob Keene, and one sister, JoAnn Ritchie.
Survivors include one son, Ron Fogleman and wife, Donna of Lebanon; one sister, Margaret Runyon of Abingdon; three grandchildren, Jessica Statzer and husband, Andy, Jason Fogleman and wife, Juilanna, and Carlie Liddell and husband, Chuck; two great-grandchildren, Emily Monk and John Henry Statzer; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Claude Rose officiating. Entombment will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia.
Nephews and grandson will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 10:00 AM Saturday.
