Mr. Michael Ray Ball, age 76, of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Friday (November 4, 2022) at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born September 26, 1946 in Richlands, Virginia and was a lifelong resident of the Honaker area. Michael was a 1965 graduate of Honaker High School and a 1969 graduate of Virginia Tech. He was a former high school agriculture teacher, owner/operator of Russell Oil Company, Ball Farms, and several convenience stores, and a member of Russell County Board of Supervisors. A devoted family man, he was a husband, a father, a grandfather, a brother, an uncle, and a friend to all. He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Michael was preceded in death by his loving parents, Lorene and Willard Ball, Jr.
