Neal Shannon Long, age 49, of Abingdon, Virginia passed away August 6, 2022. Born August 11, 1972, he was a son of the late Roselle Marie Campbell Long. He had spent his early life in Florida, prior to moving to Virginia twenty years ago. He had been employed at Brothers Mobile Home Service, Inc. He loved doing mechanic work, especially working on motorcycles. He was of the Christian faith and he enjoyed fishing, boating, trucking and hanging out with his friends.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mitchell and Audrey Turner and his paternal grandparents, Donald and Betty Long.
Survivors include three children, Luke Long, Lane Long and Diesel Long all of Cleveland, Virginia; brothers, Glenn Long and wife, Candy of Lebanon, Virginia, Donald Long of Kingsville, Ohio and Levi Campbell and wife, Roxanna of Honaker, Virginia; special friend, Latasha and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 PM Saturday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Grady McGlothlin officiating. Interment will be private.
The family will receive friends at Honaker Funeral Home after 6 PM Saturday.
