Mrs. Nettie Kathern Perkins Price, age 75, of the Lynn Springs section of Swords Creek, Virginia passed away Wednesday (January 12, 2022) in a Richlands, Virginia hospital. Born December 6, 1946 in Swords Creek, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Harrison and Mallie Dye Perkins. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a graduate of Honaker High School. She loved attending church and was a member of the Church of the Living God in Honaker. She enjoyed playing with her great-grandson, Weston, crocheting and working outside in her flowers, but most of all spending time with her family, whom she loved dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Baskim Price, one daughter, Debbie Price, seven brothers, and five sisters.
Survivors include one daughter, Melissa Culbertson and husband, Jim; one son, Charlie Price and wife, Vanessa; eight grandchildren, Christopher Whited, Dustin Whited, Cody Price and Hali, Emily Price and Chanc, C.J. Kiser, Chloe Kiser, Chelsea Kiser, and Chase Kiser; four great-grandchildren, Weston Whited “Little Man”, Kylee, Mali, and Laydon; brother, William “Ted” Perkins; adopted daughter, Diana Mann; special nieces, Anita Hess and Tracey Clark; special friends, Bill and Betty Carter, Shelby Miller, Pearl Vandyke, Linda Vandyke, and Sherry Price; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Monday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Junior Ray officiating. Interment will follow in the Glenford Mountain Cemetery in Swords Creek, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Chris Whited, Dustin Whited, Cody Price, C.J. Kiser, Anthony Price, and Rafty Dye.
Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Price, Jerry Monk, Gary Breedlove, Bill Carter, Bryan Hess, and Randy Dye.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Sunday.
