Mrs. Norma Jean Dye Hale, age 74, of the Lynn Springs section of Swords Creek, Virginia went to be with the Lord on Monday (April 6, 2021) at her home. Born August 31, 1946 in Richlands, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Floyd C. and Lola Edna Dye. A lifelong resident of the area, she had been employed as a seamstress at Eastern Isles, Honaker Mills and Lebanon Apparel. She loved the Lord and attended Pine Creek Pole Church as long as her health permitted. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Nelson Dolphus Dye.
Survivors include her husband of almost sixty years, James Albert Hale of the home; one daughter, Holly Deanna Hale Perkins and husband, Keith of Lusby, Maryland; three grandchildren, Daniel Perkins, Lindsay Perkins and Branson Perkins; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 AM Friday in the Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum # 1 in Claypool Hill, Virginia with Rev. David Perkins and Rev. Daniel Richardson officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to assemble at the mausoleum. Interment will follow.
Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends after 6 PM Thursday at Honaker Funeral Home Chapel where an evening service will be conducted at 7 PM.
Due to COVID restrictions mandated by the governor, a mask is required.
